What is Steering Converting?
Steering Conversion Is The Process In Which the Steering Position Of A Car Is Switched From One Side Of The Car To The Other. Cars are Usually LHD Or RHD (Left Hand Drive or Right Hand Drive) Depending on the Manufacturing Region. Most Of The World Drive On The Left. The Process takes from 2 days up-to Two Weeks For Completion. The Main Parts That Are Replaced Are The Dashboards, Steering Racks, Combination Switches And Some Electrical Components.
Why Steering Conversion Is Performed?
Steering Conversion Is Mainly Done For Two Reasons, One Being That The Right-Hand-Drive Cars Are Cheaper Than Left-Hand-Drive Cars. The Other Reason Is to Conform To The Legal Traffic Requirements Of A Country. For Example If A State Or Country Does Not Allow RHD Vehicles, The Owners Will Have Their Cars Converted In Order To Be Able To Use Them In Their Respective Countries.
